Position: Customs Clearance Team Lead
Location: Wakefield
Industry: International Freight Forwarding
Hours: Mon – Fri – 8:30am – 17:30pm
Salary:£28,000 – £30,000 DOE

We are working exclusively with a leading freight forwarding organisation based in Wakefield. With more than 40 years’ experience in international freight forwarding and shipping, they’re proud to still be privately-owned. This gives them an advantage over many larger corporations as they can make agile decisions about our service and business to the benefit of our clients.
All of the directors are still actively involved in the day-to-day business, running a tight hand-picked team which makes it easy for us to do the best for their clients.
We are now recruiting for an experienced customs clearance team leader to join our dynamic, friendly customs department.
Knowledge of Customs Declarations is important for this role and the ideal candidate would have worked for a freight forwarding company.
Customs Clearance Team Lead role:
To complete customs clearances for import & export freight consignments
Provide support, guidance and training to customs team
Data Entry
Import and Export Customs Clearance (multi modal)
Customer relationship building
Building and maintaining client and agent network
Liaising with our network of customers, hauliers and partners
Essential Requirements:
Good knowledge of customs clearance procedures
Ability to work under pressure
2-5 years’ experience in freight or logistics
Good Communication Skills
