Position: Customs Clearance Coordinator

Industry: International Freight Forwarding

Location: Basingstoke – RG21

Salary: £28,000 – £31,000

Holiday: 25 days + Banks

Hours: Mon – Fri 8.30am – 17:30pm

Due to continued growth plans, we are now seeking to appoint a new customs clearance professional to our growing, friendly team from our head offices in Basingstoke.

We are looking for a European Road Freight operator or customs clearance coordinator who is analytically minded with meticulous attention to detail.

The successful Customs Coordinator will have a keen eye for detail and be proficient in Import and Export customs entries/clearances

Customs Coordinator – Requirements:

– Proficiency in UK / EU Customs regulations
– Excellent working knowledge of import and export customs procedures, primarily European Road Freight
– Strong communication skills
– Strong IT skills

Role & responsibilities:

– Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all Import & Export customs, procedures, Tariff Classifications, Duty Rates, and any other documentation requirements
– Processing Import/Export customs declarations
– Keeping up to date with changes in regulations, laws and customs procedures
– An extensive knowledge of Customs Commodity Codes would a great advantage
– Ensure all Customer needs are met or exceeded, within our Compliance Controls
– All other duties related to the process of clearing freight/shipments through customs
– Management of the full shipping & freight forwarding process would be an advantage
