Position: Customs Compliance Coordinator

Location: Farnborough Area

Salary: Up to £35,000 (DEO)

Work Hours: Monday to Friday – 09:00-17:30 (Some flexibility may be required)

We are recruiting for a renowned Global Logistics Company that started over 40 years ago. Our client is seeking an experienced Customs Compliance Coordinator to join their expanding team in Farnborough.

Key Responsibilities as a Customs Compliance Coordinator:

• Create job files, and accurately enter data into customs software to submit entries/clearances promptly.
• Complete billing and invoicing within 7 days of shipment delivering
• Complete cost report checking daily and raise discrepancies as necessary
• Sense check data provided by customers against required sources and advise on potential errors.
• Create Import and Export declarations by using customs software such as CDS.
• Track and monitor declaration status.
• Customs entry compliance
• Daily upload into Ricardo for clients
• Problem-solving
• Where necessary provide guidance and support on the latest customs procedures and requirements
• Complete billing and invoicing within 7 days of shipment delivering
• Complete cost report checking daily and raise discrepancies as necessary
• Completing FSD for Customs Warehouse clients
• To complete month-end reports for Customs Warehouse clients

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Customs Operator, particularly in air freight imports
• Previous experience working for a UK based Freight Forwarder or Customs Broker
• Customs qualification or previous experience working with Destin8, CNS, Pentant, CCS is desirable.
• Knowledge of HMRC compliance and regulation is desirable.
• Good knowledge of Excel & MS Office
• Must be able to self-manage and excel in methodical thinking
• Thorough understanding of global inbound operational procedures
• Occasional overtime/out-of-hours work may be required
