Customs Supervisor
Customs Supervisor required in Dewsbury!!
Our client have been providing global logistics and freight solutions for over 30 years. They have over 13 UK sites and a number of strategically placed locations around the world.
Package
Up to £40,000 DOE
Mon – Fri
9am – 5pm
Role:
- As Customs Supervisor you will manage the day to day operational activities of the Customs department.
Manage and develop team members to enable operational activities to be met - Develop and provide training for customs staff as necessary.
Respond to customer and operational enquiries quickly and effectively.
Develop the companies Customs Consultancy product - Customs Supervisor will oversee the companies ETSF and Bonded warehouse activities.
Ensure that customs guarantees are maintained at the correct level - Monitor and review our Duty/VAT exposure and ensuring goods are not released without payment or alternative agreed payment terms.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a customs coordinator or equivalent.
- Previous experience working for a UK based Freight Forwarder or Customs Broker.
- A knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office packages, Outlook etc.
- Customs qualification and previous experience working with Destin8, CNS, Pentant, CCS is desirable.
- Knowledge of HMRC compliance and regulation is desirable
