Customs Trainee

Location: Hayes

Salary: £23,000 – £25,000 (DOE)

Are you a recent graduate, looking for you a new and exciting role to join a growing customs team for a well-established Freight Forwarder? If yes, this opportunity could be great for you. My client is looking for a Customs Trainee in the Hayes area to join and support their customs team.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday – 9am – 5:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Being trained to help support the Customs team in generating customs declarations for Sea, Road and Air Freight import and export shipments.
• Create job files, accurately enter data into customs software to submit entries in a timely manner.
• Sense check data provided by customers against required source and advise on potential errors.
• Grow and develop your skills in customs software such as CDS.

Requirements:

• A keen interest in developing your career within the logistics and customs industry.
• Previous experience within the freight industry is desirable but not essential.
• A knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office packages, Outlook etc.
• Good attention to detail is essential.
