WR Logistics are currently recruiting for a Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor role in Doncaster.
POSITION TITLE: Dangerous Good Safety Advisor
REPORTS TO: General Manager
LOCATION: Doncaster
HOURS – Monday – Friday 0800 – 1700
SALARY – £28,000 – £32.000 (depending on experience)
MAIN WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Reporting to the General Manager, the Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor will work closely with the entire Operations team.
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor will need to work accurately under pressure and to strict deadlines whilst demonstrating flexibility, ability to multi-task and a keen eye for detail and safety practices
The Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor will have exceptional organisation and interpersonal skills and the confidence to communicate at all levels and be expected to monitor compliance with legal requirements and to ensure the preparation of an annual report.
The Dangerous Good Safety Advisor will provide advice to undertakings whose activities include the consignment, carriage, or the related packing, loading, filling or unloading of dangerous goods.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
· Provide the experience and knowledge to the business as on site DGSA
· Preparing paperwork and investigating new product requirements for export for Dangerous Goods
· Preparing export documentation
· Knowledge of Incoterms, commodity codes and country of origin
· Liaising with internal departments & external freight forwarder agents
· Preparing of commercial invoices for export
· General export admin tasks
· Monitoring of 3rd party invoices
· Supporting internal and external audits to ensure compliance requirements are met
· Work with our transport partners and key contacts to drive service delivery
· Ensure that clear communication is maintained between customer service functions both internally and externally
· Assist in the achievement of service level agreements (SLA’s) for our clients and to exceed customer expectations
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
· Support changes in the role necessary to take the department and business forward; and
· Work to achieve personal objectives set at appraisal and/or those set monthly or quarterly.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
· Achieve agreed individual objectives; and
· Understand and adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to the role.
