$75,000 – $95,000 per year

An established logistics / supply‐chain company is seeking a Distribution Manager to lead its operations in a fast-paced distribution centre in Indianapolis, IN. This role offers a hands-on leadership opportunity to oversee all aspects of the distribution network, ensuring timely delivery, operational excellence, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound operations, warehouse workflow, and inventory flow.

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of supervisors, warehouse staff, and operations coordinators.

• Set, monitor, and report on KPIs (throughput, accuracy, cost, on-time).

• Drive continuous improvement in processes, leveraging lean / 6-sigma techniques.

• Coordinate with transportation, planning, procurement, and sales teams.

• Oversee staffing, scheduling, resource planning, and labour cost control.

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

• Manage the P&L for the distribution centre; propose and control budgets.

Required Experience & Skills

• 5+ years of leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics operations.

• Strong experience of managing distribution centre or similar.

• Proven track record of performance improvement, cost control, and team management.

• Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.

• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and logistics software.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
