Electrical Field Service Engineer

Role: Electrical Field Service Engineer
Location: Leeds (UK-wide travel required)
Salary: Up to £45,000 (DOE)
Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Field Service Engineer to join our team, specialising in LV/MV. This is a field-based role, the successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and commissioning of LV/MV switchgear systems, including functional testing, protection relay configuration, and system integration

• Perform pre-commissioning checks, insulation resistance testing, and fault diagnostics

• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation

• Liaise with clients, project managers, and internal teams to support smooth project delivery

• Provide technical support and fault-finding during and after commissioning

• Carry out Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) to customer specifications

• Complete commissioning reports, test records, and technical documentation

• Participate in site surveys, risk assessments, and method statement preparation

• Support the training and mentoring of junior engineers and technicians when required

Skills & Experience Required

• ONC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification

• Experience commissioning LV/MV switchgear

• Experience working with protection relays

• Knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Willingness to travel (UK and occasional international travel) and work flexible hours, including weekends when required

• Full UK driving licence
