Location: Burton-on-Trent (Office Based)
Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30-17:00pm

Are you an experienced Road Freight Operator looking to join a dynamic and growing freight forwarding group? Our client, a well-established multi-site logistics business, is seeking a motivated individual to join their team in Burton-on-Trent.

Road Freight Operator Position:

As a Road Freight Operator, you will take full responsibility for managing day-to-day European road freight operations. This will include handling full loads, part loads, and groupage services for both import and export traffic across Europe. In addition to operations, you will also manage key customer accounts, ensuring service levels are maintained and strong relationships are developed.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing full load, part load, and groupage shipments across Europe
• Overseeing both import and export operations
• Providing end-to-end operational support, from booking through to final delivery
• Liaising with customers, suppliers, and international partners to ensure smooth processes
• Managing customer accounts and maintaining high service standards
• Resolving any operational or service-related issues efficiently

About You

• Previous experience in European road freight forwarding is essential
• Strong knowledge of full loads, part loads, and groupage movements
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and accounts simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
• Team player with the ability to work independently when required
