European Road Freight Administrator

Position: European Road Freight Administrator
Location: Bedford
Work Hours: Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to £25,000 – £29,000 (DEO)
Bi-Lingual in French and English: Spoken & Written

We are recruiting for one of the UK’s leading logistics and freight companies that operate worldwide and offer a full range of services in the UK, across Europe and internationally across all trade routes.

We seek a European Road Freight Administrator to support the day-to-day operations team who handle groupage trailers to various European destinations. The ideal candidate will come from a freight forwarding or logistics background.

Key Responsibilities for European Road Freight Administrator:

• Entering details onto specialised Customs software including CDS, CNS, Destin8, CTS, NES etc
• Liaising with clients, overseas agents and internal departments
• Bi-Lingual in French and English – being able to communicate with French overseas partners
• Taking bookings from the Operations team and inputting into the system
• Checking customer invoices
• Charge and costing shipments
• Resolving and managing queries and complaints
• Speaking with Hauliers to resolve any issues

Requirements:

• Experience of working within a freight forward or logistics company desirable
• Bi-Lingual in French & English is essential
• An understanding of customs procedures is advantageous
• Self-motivating with the ability to organise your work load effectively
• Ability to operate windows based applications and any other software that is standard within the industry.
• Work in a fast-paced environment
• Experienced user of Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word and Outlook
