Position: European Road Freight BDM / Account Manager – Freight Forwarding

Salary: £60,000pa basic + Bonuses + Car Allowance
Hours: Mon – Fri (Flexible)

Are you an experienced sales professional, BDM or Account Manager with a background within the International Logistics & Freight Forwarding sector?

Are you a proactive self starter who is well connected within the Freight Forwarding industry with the ability to build, develop, and maintain strong working relationships with new and existing clients?

Our client are currently recruiting for a European Road Freight Business Development Manager to secure new business opportunities and develop pre-existing client accounts. Their road freight division is well established, they are a global Freight Forwarding group and are looking to continue their growth with the acquisition of a Business Development Manager, working a territory surrounding their Manchester offices focusing on European Road Freight services.

The role as European Road Freight BDM / Account Manager will require management of an active sales pipeline focusing on opportunities across the North West region. You will be required to identify, develop and secure new opportunities across EU Road Freight services. The right person will have sales experience within this area and be able to provide solutions to clients through their knowledge of freight forwarding & international logistics. As well as generating revenue through new customers; the BDM will monitor key accounts to establish any further opportunities for growth.

The right candidate will have a hunter mentality; self motivated and driven. They will be able to work in a fast paced and pressured environment; a confident communicator and passionate about their work.

A starting salary of £60,000 is achievable for the successful candidate along with additional bonuses. Additionally you will receive a company car/allowance, laptop, mobile and a generous holidays allowance.
