European Road Freight Coordinator – Plymouth – £20K – £30K

An exciting new opportunity has become available for a Road Freight Forwarder to join a market leading company in their European Road Freight Division. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a limited background in logistics looking to develop their experience as a Junior Freight Forwarder, or an individual working in the logistics industry with import/export knowledge, and/or experience in Road Freight Forwarding.

The Role

• Look after own set of accounts throughout the whole shipment cycle from initial booking to final delivery for FCL and LCL ocean shipments.
• Mainly import but some export.
• Working with our agents at origin.
• Resolving any issues that arise during this process.
• Build relationships with clients to understand ordering patterns and plan accordingly.
• Understanding carrier rates and providing quotations (or working with account managers)
• Invoicing and having an awareness of individual client’s current credit status/account balances. Take action/raise where appropriate.
• Processing purchase invoices and raising queries where necessary.
