Position: Road Freight Operations Manager
Location:Tamworth
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum
Hours: Mon – Fri 8:30 – 17:00

We are partnering exclusively with a growing logistics business based in Tamworth to recruit a Road Freight Operations Manager to lead and develop their UK-EU road freight capability.

The Opportunity
As Road Freight Operations Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering best‑in‑class road freight operations across Europe and the UK, ensuring excellent service delivery while driving commercial performance. This is a highly visible position that will suit someone with both operational experience and commercial acumen.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead and manage daily UK-EU road freight operations, ensuring timely, compliant and profitable movements.

• Act as a key operational lead, balancing service delivery with commercial performance.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers and internal teams.

• Drive continuous improvement in processes and delivery performance.

• Support commercial growth through operational insight, pricing and solutioning.

Who We’re Looking For:

• Solid background in freight operations, Account Management or logistics sales, ideally in EU road freight.

• Commercially focused with experience in account management and stakeholder engagement.

• Strong planner and communicator, able to work autonomously and lead by example.

• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced logistics environment, delivering results for customers.
