Role Overview:

As our European Road Freight Operator, you’ll be the mastermind behind the smooth movement of goods across Europe’s roads. From managing full and part loads to orchestrating groupage and ensuring efficient bookings, you’ll handle all the details that make the wheels of logistics turn. With your expertise in Cargowise and knack for keeping operations on track, you’ll ensure shipments arrive right on time and in tip-top shape, no matter where they’re headed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Booking Shipments: Oversee the booking of shipments with Origin and Destination points across Europe. Arrange transportation with carriers and make sure everything runs like clockwork.
• Full & Part Loads, Groupage: Whether it’s a full container, part load, or a bit of groupage, you’ll make the right calls to get things moving – no cargo too small or too large.
• Pricing & Quoting: Provide accurate and competitive pricing for full, part loads, and groupage shipments, ensuring our customers get the best value for their haulage.
• Customs Clearance: Handling import/export operations with ease (bonus points if you’re savvy with customs clearance, though it’s not a must-have).
• UK Haulage & Deliveries: Coordinate UK haulage and deliveries seamlessly, ensuring that goods are transported to their final destination with precision.

What We Need From You:

• Experience: A minimum of 2 years in European road freight operations with a solid understanding of full loads, part loads, and groupage. You know the ropes and are comfortable with pricing and quoting.
• Organisational Skills: You’re a master of logistics – multitasking, attention to detail, and staying ahead of deadlines are your forte.
• Communication: You excel in communicating with internal teams, external partners, and clients to ensure everything stays on track.
• Customs Knowledge: Understanding of customs clearance procedures is a nice-to-have, but if not, we’re happy to provide the training.
