Hours: Mon – Fri 8:30am – 17:00pm

A rapidly expanding & evolving general haulage and international freight provider are now seeking a highly experienced and well connected Freight Forwarder to join their team of Road Freight Specialists at their branch in Lichfield.

My client employ over 100 members of staff across two branches, operate a fleet of over 70 Vehicles and offer over 100,000 square feet of Warehousing. Their growth and success is testament to the vision that the Directors and Senior Management have had since the conception of the company. This, coupled with hard work and sound business decisions is helping in paving the way to the company being one of the most successful family owned Haulage & International Freight Providers in the region.

The Role

• Develop new business leads & trade lanes for movement of European Road Freight.
• To oversee and manage import and export, groupage, part and full trailer loads.
• To build and maintain strong client/ customer relationships
• To liaise with hauliers and overseas agents.
• Provide quotations, negotiate best possible rates and provide outstanding customer service
• Represent and promote company brand at all times

• Do you have sound European geographic knowledge?
• Do you understand current market rates and are you confident in spot quoting customers?
• Do you have a significant haulier database to use when subcontracting loads out?
• How much European freight forwarding experience (years) do you have?
• On average how man loads do you sub out per week?
• How many customers do you deal with on a daily basis?
• What is your level of understanding with customs paperwork and legislation?
