Position: European Road Freight Supervisor/Manager
Location: Bradford
Hours: Mon – Fri 9am – 17:30
Salary: £40,000 – £55,000 (DEO)
We are currently recruiting for a client of ours who was established over 30 years ago and who specialises in road freight services across Europe.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic European Road Freight Supervisor/Manager to join their expanding team. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of the road freight operations, ensuring smooth and efficient transportation of goods from origin to destination. Our client is considering all levels of candidates from supervisor to managerial level.
Your key responsibilities as a European Road Freight Supervisor/Manager:
- Oversee and coordinate European road freight operations
- Lead a team of freight forwarders, providing guidance and support
- Develop and maintain relationships with hauliers, suppliers and customers
- Provide freight rates, quotes and pricing solutions for customers
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- Track and update delivery statuses in the company’s system and provide regular updates to clients
- Job invoicing and costing
- Making sure the department stays up to date with regulations, ensuring compliance with all documentation
- Organising and training all new operational staff
- Continuously monitoring the team’s performance, offering training and making adjustments accordingly
Requirements:
- Proven experience in European road freight management
- A strong understanding of transportation and operation regulations
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- The ability to problem solve and work effectively in a fast-paced environment and working to tight deadlines
