Position: European Road Freight Supervisor

Location: Wythenshawe

Salary: up to £37,000 (Negotiable)

Hours: Mon – Fri 9am – 17:30pm

Our client is a people-owned freight forwarding and international logistics group, specialising in Air, Sea and European Road freight movements for a large number of well-recognised, global brands.

We are currently hiring for an experienced European Road freight specialist to join our European Freight Department in a Supervisory capacity, to help lead and support our dedicated team of freight operators.

The European Road Freight Supervisor will be the main point of contact for our clients, with a complete 360 responsibility of quoting and managing our client’s shipments and expectations. You will also build relationships with both customers and hauliers. You will also be responsible for ensuring goods are cleared in a timely manor working closely with the customs team to ensure no delays.

We are looking to speak with individuals who possess a strong skillset dealing with European Road Freight Operations and have been working in the freight forwarding industry at team leader level or similar.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Provide an exceptional level of service to all customers as required
• Invoice and cost shipment files in a timely and accurate manner
• Maintain and monitor service expectations of existing and key accounts
• Follow the company operational procedures
• Management of business from inception to completion
• Select appropriate carrier / service providers to maximise profits and deliver service
• Manage own time to best efficiency for the business
• Carry out any other duties deemed necessary by the company
• Seek, develop and secure new opportunities from existing business
• Achieve profit growth through effective commercial management of new and existing account
