Export Coordinator

Export Coordinator – Aberdeen – Up to £38,000

Salary: Up to £38,000 (DOE)
33 days hols per annum inclusive of Bank Holidays
Life Assurance 2 x annual basic salary
Pension – auto enrolled at 3 months, 5% employee, 3% employer contribution

Position summary:

Co-ordination and processing of all transport modes, dealing with all types of shipping documentation for
customs clearance. Provide logistics solutions, guidance and commercial support to our client base, including
identification of any customs specific regulations or requirements relating to importing goods from the relevant
countries, in line with client directives and PFS standard operating procedures..

Day to day:

Assisting with the onboarding of new clients.
Develop core client relationships to achieve set team goals
Working closely with Sales team maintain existing client relationships
Attend regular client meetings
Provide support to Export Team to realise their objectives
Fully conversant with all in-house systems
Accurate and complete entry of consignment and client information to the system
Booking of shipments with carriers – Airlines, shipping lines and road transport companies
Process all shipping documentation including MAWB, HAWB, Bill of lading, CMR
and Standard shipping note
Process customs declarations through ASM Sequoia software
Maintain a thorough understanding of HM Revenue & Customs regulations
Adhere to destination specific documentation requirements
Ensure all monthly KPI’s are met and billing requirements are achieved in timely manner
Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss workload, issues and opportunities
Provide competitive quotations to customers and overseas offices.
Resolving day to day issues with Clients and Vendors including issuing NCR’s
Feedback any operational issues to Manager who will filter to Sales Department.
Full understanding of the company compliance programme working closely with Export Manager.
Ensure Dangerous Goods procedures are followed within the department.
Providing advice to clients on all aspects of importing/exporting cargoes
Follow client Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years UK experience of international Exports and freight forwarding
Excellent customer service skills
Fully conversant with all HMRC regimes and entry types
Comprehensive understanding of ASM Sequoia and CHIEF
