Job Title: Export Customs Operator (Night Shift)
Location: Witham, Essex (Hybrid after training)
Working Hours: 4 on, 4 off (6:00 PM to 6:00 AM)
Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Export Customs Operator to join our fast-paced European Road Freight team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of export clearance processes who can thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment. As part of this role, you will ensure that all export clearance processes are completed accurately and on time, avoiding delays in client goods departure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle export clearance processes for European road freight shipments, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Manage data entry and documentation efficiently to avoid delays in goods departure.
• Provide leadership and support to colleagues in developing their skills in data handling and numerical tasks.
• Ensure that all export procedures meet required legal and regulatory standards, minimizing the risk of delays or compliance issues.
• Work effectively within a night shift structure (4 on, 4 off, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM).

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong background in export customs procedures, ideally within a European road freight environment.
• Excellent numerical and data-handling skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be based within proximity to Witham as the first couple of months will be office-based for training.
• A flexible approach and a willingness to develop others in areas related to data handling and numerical tasks.

Additional Information:

• Training: The first couple of months will be office-based for training, with daytime working hours to be agreed. Once training is completed, the role will become hybrid/remote.
• Salary: Competitive salary of up to £42,000 per annum, based on experience.
• Working Pattern: Night shift – 4 on, 4 off (6:00 PM to 6:00 AM).
