Export Planner – Eastern Europe

Road Freight Export Operator – Purfleet – Up to £32,000

We are pleased to offer an opportunity for an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join our client as a Road Freight Operator specializing in export operations. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for managing the efficient and timely transportation of goods across European road networks, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and providing excellent service to the company’s customers.

Hours: Monday to Friday – 09:00 to 17:00

Salary: Up to £32,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the daily operations for the movement of goods via road transport, ensuring export shipments are processed from start to finish.
• Liaise with customers, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely execution of export deliveries.
• Monitor and manage the status of shipments, providing updates and resolving any delays or issues.
• Ensure all relevant paperwork, including customs documentation, shipping instructions, and permits, is accurately completed and compliant with local and international regulations.
• Negotiate and liaise with carriers to secure the best rates and efficient service delivery.
• Ensure the smooth processing of all operational and administrative tasks within the export department.
• Maintain and update records in the system for all shipments and transactions.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and environmental standards in all road freight operations.
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Perform any other duties as required to support the operations team.

Requirements:

• Experience in road freight operations with a strong focus on European export processes.
• Knowledge of European road freight regulations, customs procedures, and transport documentation.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to manage relationships with customers, carriers, and vendors.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using transport management software and other relevant tools.
• Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
• A solid understanding of export compliance, customs declarations, and international trade.
• Previous experience in logistics or freight forwarding, especially in road transport, is highly desirable.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high volumes of shipments
