Role: External Sales Engineer – Automation
Location: Field Based
Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on experience
We are seeking a motivated and commercially driven External Sales Engineer to join our team at our Stockport branch. This role is ideal for someone with proven sales experience within the industrial automation sector who can confidently engage with customers at all levels, identify new opportunities, and convert them into successful business outcomes.
Responsibilities include:
- Utilise strong technical knowledge to develop tailored customer solutions and generate new business opportunities.
- Prepare accurate, competitive quotations that align with customer requirements.
- Proactively manage your territory to achieve and exceed company sales targets.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry developments, products, and emerging technologies.
- Build and strengthen long-term relationships with customers and suppliers.
Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of the Industrial Automation and Control industry and associated products.
- Previous experience in a field-based or external sales role.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
- Results-driven, self-motivated, and customer-focused approach.
- Good IT proficiency.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
