Freight Account Manager – Newcastle – Up to £40,000
Our client, a well-established freight forwarding company, is looking for a Freight Account Manager to join their team in Newcastle.
As a Freight Account Manager, you will manage your own portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring a personalised and efficient service that builds loyalty, drives repeat business, and supports smooth operational delivery.

Salary: Up to £40,000
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop your own portfolio of customer accounts
- Deliver a personalised and professional service to build strong customer relationships
- Ensure shipments are processed efficiently and accurately
- Liaise with internal operations teams to ensure smooth delivery of freight solutions
- Identify opportunities to grow accounts and increase revenue
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, shipments, and account activity
Person Specification
- Previous experience in Air or/and Ocean freight is essential
- Proven account management experience with a track record of building and managing client portfolios
- Good understanding of UK transport and freight forwarding operations
- Strong relationship-building skills, both over the phone and in person
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- High competency with Microsoft Excel and strong IT literacy
