Salary: £29,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (Monday to Friday)

The Company
We are working with a well-established, family-run freight forwarding business with over 40 years of industry experience. They offer a supportive, close-knit environment where every team member plays a key role and can make a real impact.

The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with all-round freight forwarding experience to join a small, dedicated team. The position will initially focus heavily on customs, with the opportunity to develop into a more end-to-end freight forwarding role over time.

You’ll be working across both deep sea and European movements, gaining exposure to a variety of shipments and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Completing import customs entries accurately and efficiently
• Coordinating FCL and LCL shipments across deep sea and European routes
• Liaising with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
• Supporting export customs clearance where required
• Assisting with T1 transit procedures (desirable)
• Ensuring all documentation and compliance requirements are met
• Supporting the full end-to-end freight forwarding process as the role develops

Requirements

• Previous experience within freight forwarding (minimum 1 year preferred)
• Experience completing import customs entries
• Knowledge of FCL and LCL transport operations
• Familiarity with customs systems (any system experience considered)
• Experience with CNS/DESTIN8 systems is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
