Air Freight Coordinator
Location: Heathrow
Salary: Up to £41,000
Job Type: Full-time
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
Our client, a well-established multi-site freight forwarder with UK and international operations, is looking for an experienced Air Import/Export Coordinator to join their team in Heathrow. This is a key role managing end-to-end air freight operations, ensuring timely and compliant movement of goods worldwide.
What You’ll Do:
Manage and coordinate air freight import and export shipments
Liaise with overseas agents, carriers, and clients
Arrange and track shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations
Prepare and check shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading, customs entries)
Monitor shipments and address any delays or issues
Coordinate with internal warehouse and transport teams
Deliver excellent customer service and timely updates
Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth operational flow
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience with a UK-based freight forwarder
Strong knowledge of air import/export procedures and documentation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Well-organized with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Proficiency in freight forwarding systems and MS Office
Ability to manage full operational cycle (start to finish)
Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
