Position: Multi Modal Freight Forwarder

Location: Southampton, SO15

Working hours: 8.30 – 17.00 with an hour for lunch (37.5hrs per week)

Salary: £28,000 (Negotiable)

The Company:

Our client are logistics and freight forwarding specialists comprising of: -Inbound shipping, customs bonded warehousing, storage, high volume order processing, B2B / B2C fulfilment, pre-retail services and freight management to end-customer deliveries across the UK, Eire and Continental Europe.

They are a well-established freight forwarder with over 30 years’ experience, employing over 1000 employees and help to support over 12,00 customers worldwide.

To coincide with growth plans we are now hiring for a freight forwarder/ freight operator to join their freight operations department based form their Southampton offices.

This is a varied role which covers both import and export freight operations across all modes of freight, (Ocean, air, and road Freight.)

Freight Forwarder Overview:

As our Freight Forwarder, you will be responsible for all forwarding tasks for both imports and exports, starting from the initial enquiry, and preparation of documentation right through to raising invoices. You will deal with import & export entries using various CPC’s including Home Use & CFSP in line with HMRC and our Bonded warehouse approval. liaise with, clients, shipping lines, 3rd parties and other forwarders alongside managing key relationships within our organisation.
