Freight Forwarder

Freight Coordinator – Leeds – Up to £30,000

This freight forwarder have been operating over 30 years, offering unique and bespoke freight and logistics services on a European scale, to clients and customers alike.

An Experienced Freight Coordinator is required to carry out the full end to end service for Key Clients. Impeccable customer service is a key element to this role. You must be able to demonstrate an eye for detail, work to strict, time sensitive deadlines, commute effectively and efficiently with all parties in a timely fashion as well as showing a proactive approach to daily tasks, all the whiles showing a passion for Freight Forwarding and customer service.

Person Specification:

The individual will already have experience in Import And / Or Export.
They will have good customer service skills, be able to work well alone and in a team and experience of working in a Freight Forwarding environment.
Ideally they should be confident in the entire end to end process, from quotation stage, through booking & documentation handling shipments from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

Ensuring customer orders are entered accurately in the system
End to end responsibility to ship and deliver to customer requirements via air, road or sea
Provide verbal quotations and guidance on service options and negotiate with suppliers and customers to secure the booking.
Where necessary selecting approved suppliers whilst considering cost and commercial viability
Producing sales and purchase invoices in a timely manner
Accurately Recording Collection Times & Customs Clearance in FLOW to support Customer & Internal AXIS Reports / KPIs

The Requirements:

Must have experience in exports and imports
Customs Experience required
