Position: Freight Forwarding Operations Manager
Location: Southampton
Salary: Up to £55,000 + Bonus
Holiday: 25 days + Bank Holidays

We’re still growing, and now we need an exceptional Operations Manager to help us maintain our industry dominance and play a vital support role for the Managing Director.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and Inspire: Manage, motivate, and support a talented team of 17 freight operators who are the heart of our business. Your leadership will empower them to deliver their best.
• Master of Sea & Air Freight: Oversee the day-to-day operations for both sea and air freight, ensuring that every shipment is on time and handled with precision.
• Financial Reporting: Work alongside the MD to deliver insightful financial reports, helping guide strategic decisions and maintaining operational efficiency.
• Problem-Solving Extraordinaire: Whether it’s a logistical hiccup or a customer challenge, you’ll be the one to step in, solve the problem, and keep everything running smoothly.
• Support Growth & Success: Contribute to the ongoing success of the business by spotting opportunities for growth, improvement, and cost control.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

• Proven experience in both sea and air freight operations (bonus points for having both under your belt!)
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing teams and driving results.
• Solid understanding of financial reporting, budget management, and the numbers behind the operations.
• A keen eye for detail, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to thrive under pressure.
• A problem-solving mindset that always keeps customer satisfaction in focus.
