Freight Operations Manager – Multi Modal

Position: Operations Manager – Freight Forwarding
Location: Southampton
Hours: Mon – Fri 9:00am – 17:30pm
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 + Package

Due to internal promotion, we now seek an experienced Freight Forwarding Operations Manager, to support the Operations Director and to play a vital role overseeing a growing team and manage the operation based from the Southampton HQ.

Job Purpose:
Manage the Operations team to ensure the general day to day criteria & KPI’s are achieved in a quick & effective manner for all accounts.
To oversee the Billing, costing and arrangements of goods consignments, and to ensure Customs Clearances are obtained and deliveries are made in good time.
To be responsible in assisting the team in full import & export processes for all shipments & accounts, from start to finish.
To Liaise with oversees partners, offices and agents and develop strong relationships.

Essential Requirements:
We are seeking an outstanding individual who shares our passion for delivering excellent customer service coupled with the drive to support and mentor a team of operational Freight Forwarders and supervisors.

You will have extensive hands on experience within the Freight Forwarding industry and have a strong background in either Air, Sea, or Road Freight movements for both exports and imports.

Experience with Customs procedures is also important and knowledge of Cargowise, CSN, Destin8 Sequoia is required.
