A well-established international logistics business, renowned for more than three decades of success in global freight movement, is strengthening its commercial team.
Position: Freight Sales Executive
Location: Sheldon, West Midlands
Salary: £35,000 + bonus (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Friday
About the Role
You’ll play a key part in securing new business by providing fast, accurate, and competitive pricing. Your day will involve building strong relationships with customers and suppliers, analysing opportunities, and ensuring our quotes stand out in a competitive market.
You will be responsible for:
Preparing quotes and tailored proposals for customers
Liaising with suppliers, hauliers, and carriers to obtain and negotiate rates
Following up on all quotations and communicating effectively with customers
Adjusting pricing strategies to win business where appropriate
Delivering excellent service while maintaining long-term client relationships
What We’re Looking For
Success in this role will come naturally if you have:
- Understanding of ocean freight operations with a UK freight company
Excellent organisation and attention to detail
The ability to manage deadlines and work well under pressure
- Strong numerical ability and the confidence to analyse pricing
