General Manager – Wiltshire – £70,000-£75,000 + Great Benefits

A well established precision engineering business specialising in high quality sheet metal forming and fabrication solutions is seeking a dynamic and commercially focused General Manager to join their strategic senior management team.

Reporting to the Group Managing Director, the General Manager will take a hands-on leadership role, combining strategic direction with operational oversight to shape the future of this trusted engineering firm. The successful candidate will drive business development, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure alignment with group objectives, while fostering a positive and productive culture across the team.

Package:

• Salary: £70,000 to £75,000
• £6,000 car allowance

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership across all business functions
• Manage daily operations and ensure delivery of projects on time and within budget
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders
• Lead, mentor, and develop department managers and staff
• Oversee business planning, budgeting, and performance measurement
• Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to company standards

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience in a senior operational leadership role in engineering or manufacturing
• Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline (preferred)
• Strong commercial acumen and operational management expertise
• Track record of driving business growth and operational improvements
