Global Technical Tender Manager – Freight Forwarding

Location: London OR Germany (Remote/Hybrid options available)

Salary: £50,000 – £70,000 (Depending on experience)

Employment Type: Full-Time

From You:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a technical tender management role within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
• Deep knowledge of global freight forwarding services, including air, sea, and land transport, and associated technical requirements.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and clients at all levels.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tender projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel and other tender management tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical aspects of the global tender process, including evaluating and translating client requirements into practical and cost-effective solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, finance, and legal) to ensure a coordinated and winning tender submission.
• Develop and design tailored logistics solutions that meet client needs while aligning with global freight forwarding capabilities and industry standards.
• Conduct thorough technical assessments of potential projects, considering factors such as cost structures, service optimization, and risk management.
• Work closely with regional teams to ensure that all global tender requirements are met, ensuring compliance with client specifications and internal processes.
• Provide strategic input on pricing and commercial aspects in collaboration with the sales and finance teams.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies that impact freight forwarding operations.
• Drive continuous improvement in the tendering process, providing leadership and mentoring to junior team members.
