HGV Technician – Nights

Urgently required! – HGV Technician – Nights – Foston- £21 Per hour!

Our client, who are a UK based warehousing and logistics, are looking for a HGV Technician to join their team in Foston, UK

As HGV Technician you will perform routine maintenance, diagnosis and repairs to heavy goods vehicles. You will also ensure that trucks meet an organisation’s safety and customer service standards

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with all vehicles and trailers.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and safety concerns.
• Complete repairs efficiently and accurately, ensuring vehicles are in compliance with regulations.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to pinpoint issues and make necessary adjustments.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs performed on each vehicle.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and efficient workflow.
• Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices for HGV maintenance.
• You will Carry out road tests
• Carrying out roadside repairs to own fleet vehicles and trailers
• Carrying out planned routine maintenance to own fleet and 3rd party fleet
• Carrying out MOT preparations on own fleet and 3rd party fleet

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills related to heavy vehicles.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with colleagues and supervisors.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
