Role: Mobile Hydraulic Hose Technician

Location: Field Based

Salary: Up to £35,000 depending on experience

Our client is looking for a Mobile Hydraulic Hose Technician to join our growing team, providing on-site hydraulic hose repair and replacement services to customers across construction, agriculture, transport, mining, and industrial sectors.

As a Mobile Hydraulic Hose Technician, you will operate a fully equipped service vehicle and respond to customer breakdowns and scheduled maintenance calls. You’ll manufacture and replace hydraulic hoses on-site, diagnose faults, and ensure equipment is back up and running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include:

• Attend customer sites to repair and replace hydraulic hoses
• Manufacture and crimp hose assemblies on-site to required specifications
• Diagnose hydraulic hose failures and recommend preventative solutions
• Safely depressurize and isolate hydraulic systems before work
• Maintain service vehicle stock levels and equipment
• Complete job sheets, service reports, and invoicing documentation
• Provide professional and friendly customer service
• Follow all company and site safety procedures

Skills & Experience

• Experience with hydraulic hose assembly and crimping
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and fittings
• Previous mobile service or breakdown experience
• Trade qualification (Mechanical / Fitting & Turning / Diesel Mechanic – advantageous but not essential)
• Mechanical aptitude (experience in hydraulics, fitting, mechanical trades, or similar preferred)
• Ability to work independently in a mobile field role
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Commitment to health & safety
