Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:30
Salary: up to £35,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Import Coordinator to join a growing freight forwarding team based in Essex. This is an office-based position offering a dynamic work environment with excellent career development prospects.
About the Role:
You’ll play a key role in managing the full import cycle, from shipment coordination to customs clearance and final delivery. Your responsibilities will include handling documentation, liaising with suppliers and customers, ensuring compliance, and managing billing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end import processes for international shipments
Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and customs brokers
Prepare and verify shipping documentation
Ensure compliance with UK customs regulations and international trade laws
Liaise with customers regarding final delivery arrangements and queries
Oversee and process customer invoicing and billing
Track shipments and provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders
Prepare and submit customs declarations
Work closely with internal teams
What We’re Looking For:
2+ years of experience in a freight forwarding company
Solid understanding of customs clearance procedures and import documentation
Proficient in shipping systems
Strong communication, organisation, and multitasking skills
- Customs experience using CDS
