Position: Import / Export Coordinator – Sea Freight
Location: Leeds
Hours: Mon – Fri 9:am – 17:30
Salary: up to £35,000
We are currently recruiting for one of the largest privately owned international freight forwarding companies that operate from 9 locations in the UK.
We are seeking a skilled Sea Freight Import Coordinator to join their dynamic team, organising international shipments by sea (LCL and FCL) to meet their clients extensive requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in freight forwarding operations, with experience dealing with sea freight imports or export regulations and customs clearance procedures.
Your key responsibilities as an Import / Export Coordinator – Sea Freight:
- Complete start-to-finish import or export consignments via sea freight
- Create bookings from the origin
- Provide freight rates, quotes and pricing solutions for customers
- Liaise with overseas agents, shipping lines, merchant haulage and various carriers
- Track and update shipment statutes in the company’s system and provide regular updates to clients
- Complete import customs entries via CDS
- Ensure compliance with import regulations and trade compliance laws
- Cargowise user preferred.
