We are currently supporting an award-winning freight forwarding and international logistics organisation, which is proud to now be the largest employee-owned logistics business in the world. To coincide with growth plans we are hiring for an experienced freight sales executive to join a dedicated commercial department from our site in London Heathrow.

Internal Freight Sales Executive Role:

The primary role of the Internal Freight Sales Executive is to prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising, or other means of generating interest from potential clients. They must develop a rapport with new clients, set targets for sales and provide support that will continually improve the relationship.

You will be required to grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new freight solutions and services to clients. Strategic planning is a key part of this job description since it is the manager’s responsibility to develop pipelines of new business coming into the company. This position requires a thorough knowledge of the freight forwarding market, the solutions, and the services of the company and its competitors.

The ideal candidate will have a background in either operational freight forwarding or work as a commercial or internal freight sales executive. The role would also suit a freight-pricing specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update contact details, names, e-mail address using the Sales Force
  • Qualify lead opportunity, freight spend, volumes, transport modes, market sectors.
  • Relationship Management with current prospects and developing new relationships with prospective clients.
  • Meet daily KPI’s as set out by the department.
  • Forty calls per day
  • Demonstrate growth monthly and achieve the targets.
  • Generate new prospect leads, Teams/zoom and via the telephone.
