Internal Sales Executive – Logistics

Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire
Salary: up to £30,000 + Bonus (up to £5,000) + Pension
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm

We’re seeking an ambitious Internal Sales Executive to join a well-established freight forwarding business with a strong track record of success.

The Role

As an Internal Sales Executive, you’ll play a vital part in strengthening client relationships and unlocking new business opportunities. Working with an established customer base across a wide range of industries, your role will involve:

  • Developing and managing client relationships.
  • Preparing and negotiating Air, Road and Sea freight quotations.
  • Handling tenders and supporting client KPIs.
  • Engaging in both client and supplier meetings (face-to-face and virtual).
  • Collaborating with colleagues to deliver efficient, tailored logistics solutions.

What We’re Looking For

We’re open to backgrounds – whether you’re from freight forwarding, export sales, customer service, or operations – as long as you bring the right mix of skills and attitude.

Ideal attributes include:

  • Experience in handling quotations and tenders.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to negotiate confidently with clients and suppliers.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • A positive, engaging personality with a “can-do” sales and service approach.
