Salary: £27,000 (Negotiable depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm


It is essential that you have prior experience working for a UK-based freight forwarder.

We are currently recruiting for a Junior Air Freight Import Operator to join a well-established freight forwarding company based near Heathrow. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in international logistics, with hands-on training and support provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with handling air freight import shipments from start to finish

• Liaise with airlines, handling agents, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of cargo

• Prepare and process import documentation including AWBs, customs entries, and delivery notes

• Track and trace shipments, updating customers and handling any service issues

• Support the customs clearance process, working alongside experienced operators

• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements

Requirements:

• Some prior experience working for a UK-based freight forwarder is essential

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Eagerness to learn and develop within the freight forwarding industry

• Good attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team

• Basic understanding of customs procedures would be a bonus
