Junior Import Coordinator – Freight Forwarding
Salary: Up to £32,000 (DOE) | Training Provided | Junior applicant’s welcome

Are you looking to start a career in freight forwarding and international logistics? We’re recruiting for a Junior Import Coordinator to join a well-established freight forwarder, offering full training, clear progression, and exposure to air, road, and ocean operations.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their career – including candidates with no prior freight experience – who is organised, eager to learn, and ready to build a long-term future in logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling customer enquiries and incoming calls
- Assisting with job quotations and shipment coordination
- Supporting the processing of import shipments across air, road, and sea
- Liaising with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams
- Costing jobs and assisting with invoicing
- Maintaining accurate operational records and learning to manage your own desk
- Occasional support with warehouse-related tasks when required
Who We’re Looking For:
- Junior candidates or trainees looking to break into freight forwarding
- Strong organisation and communication skills
- Proactive, reliable, and willing to learn
- IT-literate with good attention to detail
- Any exposure to imports, logistics, or customs is advantageous but not essential
Full training and development will be provided, including the opportunity to learn exports and specialist movements over time.
