Location: Warwickshire
Salary: Up to £45,000 (DOE)
The Opportunity
We are working with a well-established heavy haulage business based in Warwickshire, looking to appoint an experienced LGV Driver Assessor to support their growing operation. This is a key role focused on maintaining high driving standards, ensuring compliance, and supporting driver development across the fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out driver assessments, inductions, and ongoing performance reviews
- Monitor driving standards and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements
- Deliver training, coaching, and toolbox talks to drivers
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, providing feedback and corrective action
- Support with driver CPC training and development plans
- Work closely with the transport team to promote a strong safety culture
- Maintain accurate training and assessment records
Requirements
- Valid, in-date HGV (LGV) licence
- Proven experience in a Driver Assessor or similar role within a haulage environment
- Strong knowledge of driver regulations, compliance, and road safety standards
- Excellent communication and coaching skills
- Ability to build strong working relationships with drivers and operational teams
- CPC qualification (desirable but not essential)
- Train the Trainer qualification (desirable)
- Health & Safety qualification (e.g. IOSH) (desirable)
