We are representing a well-established logistics and supply-chain firm looking for a driven Business Development Manager based in New Orleans, Louisiana. This role is ideal for someone who combines sales acumen with deep knowledge of freight, transportation, and logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute growth strategies to drive new business across freight forwarding, transport, and supply-chain services.

• Identify, qualify, and close new client opportunities (shippers, manufacturers, 3PLs).

• Build and maintain lasting relationships with prospects and existing clients.

• Prepare and deliver compelling business proposals, service pitches, and commercial pricing.

• Collaborate closely with operations, product, and customer service teams to align on client needs and deliver best-in-class solutions.

• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to shape product offerings.

• Report on sales performance, pipeline, forecasts, and revenue metrics to senior leadership.

Experience & Skills Required

• 4-7 years of business development / sales experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or transportation.

• Proven track record of winning and growing business in a B2B, logistics or supply-chain environment.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

• Comfortable working with operations and technical teams to build tailored offerings.

• Analytical mindset, with ability to build and manage sales forecasts and pipeline.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
