Maintenance Engineer
Role: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Chichester
Salary: £36k-£42k depending on experience
Are you a hands-on problem solver who doesn’t just fix issues but prevents them? We’re looking for a proactive Maintenance Engineer to join a busy, fast-paced engineering environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain and repair electrical, mechanical, and production equipment (boilers, pumps, gearboxes, and more)
- Diagnose faults and take ownership of repairs
- Identify potential issues before they become problems
- Conduct daily machinery checks and maintain accurate records
- Support projects, continuous improvement, and cross-department collaboration
- Coordinating and producing feedback on the functionality of the machinery and equipment
- Reporting all defects and damages to the manager.
- Maintaining records of the repair and maintenance work conducted in the facility.
- Efficiently managing time and delivering within specified deadlines.
- Taking part in specific projects.
- Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment.
- Monitor and control maintenance cost.
- Liaise with suppliers and specialists.
- Ensure all correct legal standards are adhered to at all times.
- Welding and domestic plumbing.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience maintaining and repairing production machinery
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Proactive, solution driven attitude
