Managing Director – HVAC

This is a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity for an Operations Director Senior Project Manager, Contract Manager, Operations Manager, General Manager or Engineer with extensive management experience to progress to Director level within a HVAC installation and maintenance business.

You will inherit a stable business with long-standing existing contracts worth approximately 3 million plus maintenance and reactive works worth approximately 2 million. You will be immediately rewarded with a directorship and 30% profit shareholder within the business

Package:

• Realistic minimum package based on the current forecast in the region of £180,000
• Base salary £70,000 – £80,000
• 30% net profit bonus
• Electric car (Tesla)
• 33 days holiday
• 8% pension

Responsibilities:

As the Operations Director, you will oversee all aspects of our day-to-day operations while driving continuous improvement and growth.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Operational Leadership: Lead and inspire our operations team to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of heat pump installation, maintenance, and servicing projects.
• Process Optimization: Streamline workflows and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and customer service.
• Resource Management: Efficiently manage manpower, equipment, and materials to meet project deadlines and financial objectives.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to industry standards.
• Health and Safety Compliance: Enforce rigorous health and safety protocols to create a safe work environment for our team and clients.
• Financial Oversight: Collaborate with the management team to set and monitor budgets, control costs, and drive profitability.
• Supplier and Vendor Relations: Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms and enhance project outcomes.
• Training and Development: Identify training needs and provide guidance to our team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Strategic Planning: Work closely with the directors to develop and execute business strategies that support long-term growth and expansion.

Requirements:

• Experience of managing profit and loss in the HVAC industry
• Engineering qualifications i.e diploma, degree or completed apprenticeship in a mechanical engineering or HVAC field
• Strong understanding of air conditioning systems
• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of motivating and leading diverse teams
• Sound financial acumen and ability to manage budgets effectively
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and operational excellence
• Ambition to take on a greater leadership role and become a shareholder and director in the company
