My client is an established global low volume manufacturer supplying equipment throughout EMEA from their Droitwich, UK site. They have an excellent brand and employer reputation due to teamwork and valuing their employees’ contributions.
The Manufacturing Engineer is a critical function to create, deliver and implement improvements within the manufacturing facility.
The Role
- Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements/business transformations/design and implement modern techniques and tooling / fixtures.
- Implement lean manufacturing techniques
- Evaluating and improving quality control processes, production processes, methods, schedules, downtime, cycle times, availability of machines and waste management
- Ensuring compliance
- Reviewing and calculating costs
- Planning workflow, space requirements and equipment placement to maximise manufacturing efficiency using MRP/ERP
- Coordinating maintenance services
Hours: 38 hours, flexible working between 0930-1530
Requirements
- It is likely you will be an experienced Manufacturing Engineer or Production Engineer
- Background in a Engineered To Order (ETO) project environment
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or other formal productivity improvement programs (Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt preferred).
- Strong systems background in MRP/ERP, project management, scheduling, inventory management and general accounting
- AutoCAD/ Solidworks would be an advantage.
Package
- Salary to £45K
- 25 days Holiday
- 6+ month fixed term contract. Highly likely to become permanent.
