About the Role

My Client is seeking a highly capable Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Site Supervisor to join their team, delivering high‑quality building services projects across London. This is a hands‑on, site‑based supervisory role responsible for the effective coordination, delivery and compliance of mechanical and electrical works, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

You will play a key role in supporting site management teams, supervising staff and subcontractors, monitoring quality, driving performance and upholding health & safety standards in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all M&E site activities, ensuring efficient daily operations and delivery against programme requirements.
• Lead and manage multi‑discipline subcontractors and site operatives, ensuring work meets contract specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct daily site briefings, tool‑box talks, RAMS reviews, and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations at all times.
• Monitor site progress, identify issues early, and assist with problem‑solving to maintain programme continuity.
• Support Site/Project Managers with reporting, stakeholder communications, and site documentation.
• Ensure statutory compliance and quality assurance, including inspections, testing and commissioning oversight where required.
• Maintain accurate records of site activities, variations, and decisions.
• Engage with clients, supply chain partners and internal teams to maintain strong relationships and address concerns proactively.

Person Specification – Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor in Mechanical & Electrical building services/construction environment (minimum 3-5 years recommended).
• Competent in supervising mechanical and electrical installation and maintenance activities.
• Strong understanding of site health & safety, CDM regulations and safe systems of work.
• Demonstrable technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, plantrooms, distribution systems, controls and service installations.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and coordinate teams.
• Strong problem‑solving capability and attention to detail under pressure.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and digital reporting tools.

Desirable Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Services / Building Services Engineering.
• Apprenticeship or recognised trade qualification in mechanical or electrical discipline.
• SSSTS / SMSTS or other relevant health & safety certification.
• Knowledge of BIM protocols and digital site management tools.
• Full UK driving licence.
