My client is a leading mechanical engineering contractor delivering mechanical installations, HVAC systems, commissioning, and maintenance services across a range of sectors including commercial, industrial, and data centres.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their Dublin-based team.
The Role
The Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical services projects. You will work closely with internal teams and supply chain partners to ensure high-quality tender submissions.
This is a fully onsite position based in Dublin.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates from drawings and specifications
- Complete material take-offs and assess labour requirements
- Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Identify risks and opportunities within tenders
- Compile and submit tender documentation
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure accurate pricing
- Support project handover following successful bids
Requirements
- Background in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
- Experience in a mechanical estimating role
- Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong numerical and commercial awareness
- Proficiency in Excel and estimating tools
Package
- €60,000 – €70,000 depending on experience
- Hybrid working
- 21 days holiday plus bank holidays
- 7.5 pension
