My client is a highly respected and established M&E contractor specialising in delivering top-quality mechanical and electrical services for a diverse range of projects. From commercial and industrial developments to residential complexes and institutional facilities, they pride themselves on their commitment to excellence, innovation, and client satisfaction. Due to a track record of successful project delivery, they are looking to grow their projects team with the addition of a Junior Project Manager or a Mechanical Site Manager looking to move project-side

This is suitable for someone who is already in the role of Mechanical Site Manager or Project Engineer looking to progress. Also suitable for Senior Mechanical Engineers, Mechanical Managers, Contract Engineers or Junior Project Managers looking to progress to a Mechanical Project Management position

Package:

• £50,000 depending on experience
• £5000 car allowance
• 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Full time, permanent position
• 33 days holiday
• Private health insurance

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning, coordination, and management of mechanical installations on construction sites
• Collaborate with project managers to develop and implement project schedules, ensuring adherence to timelines and milestones
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure the availability of materials, equipment, and resources
• Supervise and provide guidance to site staff, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations
• Monitor construction progress, conduct regular site inspections, and address any issues or delays that may arise
• Assist in the review and interpretation of technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation
• Collaborate with the project team to manage change orders, variations, and contractual agreements, ensuring proper documentation and communication
• Assist in the preparation and submission of project progress reports, including documentation of site activities, budget updates, and risk assessments
• Participate in project meetings, liaise with clients and stakeholders, and contribute to effective communication and relationship management
• Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and relevant regulations to enhance project performance and knowledge

Qualifications:

• Mechanical Engineering qualifications such as a diploma, degree or apprenticeship
• Previous experience as a Mechanical Site Manager, Assistant Project Manager, or a similar role within the M&E industry
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and related components
• Familiarity with construction methods, techniques, and safety standards
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges on construction sites
• Basic understanding of project management principles and construction contracts
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred
