Salary: £28,000 – £32,000

Hours: Monday to Friday – 09:00 till 17:30 (1 hour lunch break)

Ocean export coordinator overview

We are recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s leading logistics and freight companies based in Witham. With an award winning provider of international logistic and freight services. Working worldwide and can offer a full range of services in the UK and globally. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of ocean/sea, freight forwarding and export.

Purpose of the Role

Providing a valuable service in our Ocean Freight department, to organise the safe, efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods for Deep Sea exports.

Ocean export coordinator responsibilities

• Handling FCL and LCL exports from the Far East and other origins on a start/finish basis
• Providing a high level of customer service at all times and building good business relationships with clients
• Liaising with customers, overseas agents and shipping lines
• Booking jobs onto the in-house system
• Arranging customs clearances / entries
• Dealing with any clearance queries/problems and resolving to minimise delays
• Arranging deliveries
• Keeping customers advised and updated at all stages of the import process
• Invoicing and administration
• Handling export quotations

Experience to require

• Ocean export experience
• Strong knowledge of Ocean export procedures and documentation
• Knowledge of customs entries
• Computer literate
