Ocean Export Coordinator – Manchester – Up to £37,000

This Global freight forwarder are looking to bring on an experienced Ocean Export Coordinator to join their team in Manchester.

The scope of the role is the Coordination and execution of customer orders in accordance with their requirements and/or procedures based on company’s ethics.

Job type: Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday – 9:00am to 5:30pm

Hybrid working once completion of probation

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining strong relationships with clients
• Effectively manage Ocean Export LCL and FCL shipments from start to finish
• Punctual and flawless order handling and documentation
• Follow SOP’s and update accordingly
• Submitting VGM through CNS & Destin8
• Prepare and complete full export documentation and sending prealerts within set KPI
• Submitting AMS / ACI / ISF for relevant shipments
• Sending EDI bookings and SI to carriers
• FCL and LCL Quotations upon request
• Manage multiple shipments simultaneously while ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
• Operational troubleshooting
• Non-conformance reporting in accordance with the KPI’s.
• Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and trade compliance policies
• Meeting financial end of month deadlines both accruals and sales invoices

Essentials:

• 3+ years of ocean freight forwarding experience with a UK-based freight forwarder
• Export experience
• Export customs procedure knowledge is necessary.
• Knowledge on CDS and similar softwares is a must
• Right to work in the UK
