Ocean Freight Coordinator – Houston, TX
$55,000 – $65,000 per year

An established international freight forwarder is seeking an experienced Ocean Freight Coordinator to join their growing team in Houston. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is proficient in coordinating international shipments from end to end.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle ocean import and export operations, including booking, documentation, and shipment tracking.

• Communicate daily with carriers, vendors, and customers to ensure timely and accurate cargo movement.

• Prepare and review key documents (B/Ls, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs entries).

• Monitor shipment milestones and proactively resolve exceptions or delays.

• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver excellent customer service and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years’ experience in ocean freight coordination or international logistics.

• Strong knowledge of Incoterms, customs procedures, and documentation standards.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in logistics software.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
